The Flower Guild has had another successful year due to the generous support of our congregation and dedication of the guild's members.  Our members have arranged floral pieces, plants, and various decorations for our Sunday services, weddings, and other special occasions.

Throughout the past year, we have arranged two to three floral pieces each week for memorials and a variety of celebration requests.  The fees charged (sanctuary $35 and Narthex $15) cover the cost of the flowers and materials.  The "greens" are gathered form the plants on the church grounds and the members' home gardens.

As in the past, our congregation has enthusiastically supported our holiday plant sales.  For Easter, we decorated the sanctuary with 77 Lily and Azalea plants and provided palms for Palm Sunday.  For the Christmas season, members of the guild arranged an advent wreath and decorated the church with wreaths and 72 poinsettia plants.  The outside doors of the church were decorated with live wreaths provided by the guild.

Our annual May plant sale was again well supported by our congregation.  Along with purchasing the annuals provided by Hitherbrook Nursery, many donated plants from their own gardens to sell at our "Share a Plat" table.

During 2006, the Flower Guild also provided flowers for two weddings, and centerpieces for several church related events including the India Mission program.

Boutonnieres were provided for confirmands.

The plant sale profits were used to purchase the live Christmas wreaths, and flower guild supplies.

Velma Teichert continues to donate her time and talents, planting and maintaining outside gardens and caring for the indoor plants.  Her efforts are greatly appreciated.
